Kim Yeon Koung Returns To Korea

Make way for the Queen of Korean Volleyball!

After a longgggggggggg and dramatic professional season, Kim YK has returned to Korea to take a break and settle her still ongoing issues with former club team Heungkuk.

With an unknown future in volleyball, it’s great to see Kim looking relaxed and of course smiling to meet the press at the airport and her awesome fans.

As of press time, no one knows if Fenerbahce will renew Kim’s contract. There’s also an unconfirmed report that Heungkuk is determined to make her play for them once more and/or make her future club team pay lots of money to release her. Another rumor is that Kim will take a break from the Korean National Team knowing that she is not in the best shape of her life physically and emotionally.

In case you didn’t know, Korea failed to qualify for the 2013 Grand Prix. The only 2 major tournaments on their calendar this year is the Asian Championship and also the 2014 World Championship Qualification Tournament. There’s also a possibility Korea will get the wild card from the FIVB to take part in the 2014 World Grand Champions Cup, a tourney composed of the continental champions (6 teams only).

Anyways, here are some pics of Kim YK’s arrival in Korea.
