First Look @ Evan Patak

That was quick BB!

After getting replaced by his club team in Korea by another not-so-popular foreign player, American opposite hitter Evan Patak has signed on to play in the Italian League – the world’s top professional league in our opinion. BB is now playing for Energy Resources San Giustino (Facundo Conte’s old team).

Evan made his Italian League debut last December 26th against Cristian Savani, Simone Parodi, Dragan Travica and Team Lube Macerata. Despite the 4 set loss, Evan didn’t disappoint by scoring 21 points (45% spike efficiency). Great start BB! Knowing his team is currently ranked in the bottom 2, they need more fire power from him.

Anyways, enjoy these PICS taken by our friend Giulia.

Evan has a lot of potential to become one of the world’s top opposite players. With Clay being injured, Evan can gain a lot of experience from playing the Italian League & use it to help Team USA when they compete at the NORCECA 2012 Olympic Qualifier sometime next year.

Side Dish: Evan has played in the following leagues: 2011-present Energy Resources San Giustino (ITA), 2010-2011 Korean Air Jumbos Incheon (KOR), 2009-2010 Halkbank Ankara (TUR), 2008-2009 Aon HotVolleys Vienna (AUT) & 2008-2009 Paok Salonicco (GRE).

G-luck BB & we hope to see MORE of you next year!
