2017 FIVB Grand Prix: Tandara Cries & Thanks Sheilla

She is getting better and better!

Brazilian opposite spiker Tandara Caixeta led her team to beat Serbia in the FIVB Grand Prix semifinal match scoring 24 points.

During a post match interview, Tandara – who missed the 2016 Olympic team due to being not in the best shape after giving birth – could not hide her happiness and revealed the pressure being Sheilla’s successor.

“It’s very hard. Everybody compares me to Sheilla & Sheilla is somebody who inspires me. I’ve learned a lot from her. To carry the same responsibility she had before and I am able to do it makes me very happy.”

In the video, she blows kisses to Sheilla and thank her for everything.

Brazil will face Italy in the gold medal match.

In case you missed it, Egonu and Italy caused a major upset against hosts China who will now face Serbia for the bronze – a rematch of the 2016 Olympic Final.
