4 Teams Eliminated From 2017 Euro Volley

Out of the 4 teams going home, we were hoping Estonia could advance to the next round because they played great volleyball in the first round. In addition to their performance, their supporters did an amazing job cheering the team on from start to finish. We expected more from the Dutch team who almost beat France in 5 sets.

Joining the 2 aforementioned teams are Spain and Slovakia.

PLAYOFFS

We have a couple of interesting and exciting Playoff matches to keep an eye on tomorrow. See the schedule below:

Bulgaria VS Finland
The Winner VS Serbia in the Quarterfinal Round

France VS Czech Republic
The Winner VS Germany in the Quarterfinal Round

Poland VS Slovenia
The Winner VS Russia in the Quarterfinal Round

Italy VS Turkey
The Winner VS Belgium in the Quarterfinal Round

Out of the 4 matches, we are excited for the Poland VS Slovenia and Italy VS Turkey. Slovenia finished 2nd at the 2015 edition and has what it takes to cause an upset against the host country. Poland lost their opening match versus Serbia in Round 1 but has picked up their game. As for the other match, Italy lost to Germany in the preliminary round while Turkey is perhaps the dark horse of the tournament when they beat The Netherlands & then almost scored a victory against Belgium in 5.

With the return of Mikhaylov, Grankin, Butko and Berezhko, Russia is looking STRONG and could possibly win the tournament.
