Sadly, Mammadova will NOT play at the World Championship.
“She had shoulder surgery and is currently recovering.” according to a very tight lipped source who refused to share further details on Mammadova’s recovery.
The source also adds that the wing spiker is preparing for the professional season where she’ll head to Switzerland to play for Volero Zurich.
“Natalya is taking her time. She wants to be in the best shape when the pro seasons starts. Her new club team will compete in Swiss League and also in the Champions League.” adds the source.
