90 countries ready to broadcast EuroVolley2013

From Bosnia to Brazil, from Canada to Cameroun and from the Gaza Strip to Ghana. The interest for the forthcoming 2013 CEV VELUX Volleyball European Championship – Men in Denmark and Poland is huge. With 150 days to the first ball is served, 90 countries have bought the TV-rights.

The interest for EuroVolley2013 is huge and still growing. With 150 days to the first blue and yellow Mikasa ball is served, 90 countries from all over the world have secured themselves the TV-rights to broadcast the men’s championship in Denmark and Poland from the 20th to 29th of September.

“It is fantastic that so many countries already now have bought the TV-rights to EuroVolley2013. I am sure that we will exceed the 100 countries that have been our goal to start with. The massive interest for buying the TV-right shows how big and popular sport volleyball is in the world,” says Managing Director of the local Organizing Committee, Mads Bang Aaen.

Further 33 countries are currently negotiating with Infront that has the TV-rights.

These countries have bought the TV-rights this far:

Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine (including Gaza strip), Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Djibouti, Mauritania, Morocco, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, Belarus, Bosnia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, USA, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Monaco, Dom-Tom, Mauritius, Andorra, French speaking part of Switzerland, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Gambia, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Angola, Botswana, Cap Verde, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Slovakia.
