we had a hard time forming an intact national squad due to politics and corruption in the philippine volleyball federation.
in 20 years, i am hoping the philippines will once again be among the asian powerhouses in terms of women’s volleyball.

  8. My sister is in VolleyBall I’m in 6th grade really counting on doing track and VolleyBall. I’m tryna be as busy with sports I can handle. Almost ran a mile expect i ran 3 laps in 14 mins

  9. I’ve seen the 300 jumps per match number mentioned a few times (#4). There is no way players average that many jumps. Liberos hardly jump at all, so right there you pull the average down a lot. As for how many times a player can actually jump,
I looked at a 3-2 match from our league (women) last season. There were 371 total attack attempts between the two teams – 193 + 178. In theory, a setter could have gotten 300 jumps in that match if she jump set every ball, jumped to block the roughly 50% of the balls the other team attacked when she was front row, and jump served every time. Realistically, though, she wouldn’t have jump set all the balls her team hit and not every ball was set in her blocking area. I suspect 200 is about a high as one player would get in a match.

  10. I like how you informed us that volleyball got some of its characteristics from tennis and handball. I never really thought about it until now! I guess that makes sense! I played volleyball for two years, my sixth and seventh year in school and then tennis my eighth-grade year. So, I guess I could see how they are similar with the serving and the net! Thanks for sharing these cool facts!

  11. Some people would say, “75 hours that would suck!” Yet in only ten and I say, “ 75 hours that’s to short!”

  12. Ok lemme say one more thing. Scroll up. Do you see the comment John Forman made? I really think it is stupid that a human would spend 2 hours of their time reasearching how many jumps an player averages to. Really it’s juts hate. People come on this wonderful website to learn all the cool facts. Not to scroll down at the comments and see the dirty ones!🤨😏😕👿
