Italy has won a couple of silver medals from this tournament but NEVER won the Grand Prix.
Anyways, Coach Barbolini has decided to divide his players into 2. The first set of players who will compete this coming Friday against host Poland, Argentina and the Dominican Republic are Valentina Arrighetti Barcellini Cristina , Lucia Bosetti , Paola Cardullo , Costagrande Carolina , Crisanti Lucia , Francesca Ferretti Ilaria Garzaro , Guiggi Martina , Giulia Leonardi , Serena Ortolani and Giulia Rondon .
In case this roster will not work for Barbolini, he will then send 5 of his best players namely Francesca Piccinini, Simona Gioli, Antonella Del Core, Merlo the libero and Lo Bianco.
All we can say is we’re very excited to watch Costagrande playing in the Grand Prix and it’d be strange to see her playing against Argentina – her former team.
