Take note, there’s nothing wrong playing in an A2 League.
We’re just a little surprised that for someone as great and as legendary as Helia “Fofao” Souza, she’d play in Italy’s A2 League.
Reports have surfaced that after playing for Fenerbahce in Turkey last season, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist is in talks to play for San Severino.
We don’t know the reasons behind this shocking transfer but according to some sources the Brazilian market has closed way before Fofao made up her mind that she would not renew her contract with Fenerbahce Acibadem.
We’re not sure how much San Severino plans on paying Fofao.
Wherever she goes and she plays, no doubt Fofao’s experience will be valuable to all the players she plays with even if she’s on an A1 or A2 team.
