Brazil’s Fe Garay Needs More Personal Time

At least she is NOT retiring from the National Team.

2012 Olympic gold medalist and one of Brazil’s best outside hitters, Fernanda “Fe” Garay, has decided to skip the first edition of the FIVB’s Volleyball Nations League and Volley Masters Tournament to spend more time with her husband she married last October.

According to our source, Fe thought of retiring from the team BUT Coach ZRG was able to convince her to stay.

Both parties agreed that Fe will ONLY play at the 2018 World Championship in October.

Without Fe on the team, Coach ZRG will rely on her current list of outside hitters like Natalia, Gabi Guimaraes, Rosamaria and Drussyla. No word yet if two time Olympic champion, Jaqueline, will be invited to rejoin the team or not.

Without Fe, we think Brazil still has a good group of outside hitters.

Thoughts?
