Kim Willoughby To Face Trial On First Degree Murder

After winning a silver medal at the 2008 Olympics, Kim Willoughby’s life has gone downhill.

Aside from the legal charges she faced within the last 10 years including assault and a positive drug test, this first degree murder charge is by far the most shocking one. This article has all the full details.

In Summary Per The Daily Mail:

-Kim Willoughby, 37, was indicted on first-degree murder and child abuse charges in a Puerto Rico court on Thursday
-The indictment comes eight months after a judge said she would not stand trial due to lack of evidence
-Willoughby, a former US Olympic volleyball silver medalist, has been charged in the March 2016 death of her three-year-old daughter, Kailia
-Willoughby allegedly told authorities the child slipped and hit her head in the tub
-The toddler taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon her arrival
-During the investigation, it was found that the blows she suffered were inconsistent with the alleged fall

The biggest question now is DID SHE ABUSE HER ADOPTED CHILD?

According to a forensic pathologist, the toddler’s body had cuts and bruised on her face and arms plus 21 signs of recent internal trauma (ruptured vertebra, ruptured abdominal aorta, fractured rib, kidney & pancreas injuries and X-rays showing shoulder injuries)

First trial date will be on October 4th.
