Sergey Tetyukhin Wins

He totally deserves this award!

No doubt!

Russian volleyball player and 2012 Olympic Champion, Sergey Tetyukhin, has been awarded as Russia’s Best Male Athlete in 2012. The 37 year old veteran has played for the Russian squad in more than 400 matches.

He has also won an Olympic silver medal in 2000 plus 2 Olympic bronze medals in 2004 and 2008.

Sergey’s achievements also include a gold medal at last year’s FIVB World Cup, bronze medal at the 2001 European Championship, silver at the 2002 World Championship and several medals from the FIVB World League since 1996 including gold in 2002.

He’s such a great athlete and he’s going to retire as an Olympic Champion.

“I knew we could win the gold. Otherwise I would have never tried to be here, I should have quit the national team before. But now I got this (he shows his gold medal hidden under the training suit). Now I can leave my team.” says Sergey.

Awwwwwwwww…
