Miriam Sylla Shares Emotional Message For Her Mom

First and foremost, condolence to Sylla and to her family for the passing of her mother – Salimata. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The 2018 World Championship silver medalist shared an emotional post for her late mother on Instagram a couple of days ago. In her post, Miriam called her mom as the Wonder Woman of her life and for her family.

Smile smile because she existed, she has been there. She has always rolled up her sleeves, has sweated a whole life for her 3 children, to whom she has given education and values but above all so much courage. It was Wonder Woman did not stop at nothing more the obstacle was great and more she pulled out the attributes. Always present, she had a composure and an elegance that it was impossible not to notice her even if she was always very reserved. It was enough for her to lower her guard for a moment that a bad evil devoured her from within, without reaching her heart, however. She had a big big heart … that still beats in each of his 3 children who now live with double the anger but also with double the courage.
Thanks Mom for life, for the smiles for incazzature for scolding and even for some slap Hahaha …

Ps. do not look at me with pain or sadness she would never accept it, SMILE. WONDER WOMAN REALLY EXISTED.

Sylla, together with her father and 2 siblings, spent several days in Luxembourg to be with her mother. No word yet when she will join her Italian club team, Conegliano.

In her past interview, the outside hitter shared that her mother would always watch her matches during the World Championship despite of her illness.

“When my father decided to tell me that she was ill, I was sad, I felt hurt, worried. But it was also a reason to react and fight, one of the things that really matter in life. Listening to the first phone calls with my mother was like watching a fight between two rams. Down with horns to see who had the hardest head. I told her I would come home but she would tell me to keep playing because not seeing me play would make her feel worse.

My mom always pushed me during the world championship in Japan. And even today … Playing, I just wanted to play, every day, because I knew that she was in front of the television, and seeing me play made her happier at least for two hours.”
