Just like what Canadian Sarah Pavan did, switching to beach gives Maggie a BETTER chance to compete in the Olympics. She is getting ready for Tokyo 2020. There’s time to prepare and we hope this new adventure would finally make her Olympic dream come true.
According to volleyball-verband.de, 2 time European Championship silver medalist Margareta Kozuch will now player beach volleyball starting next season. The 29 year old opposite hitter is partnering with Karla Borger – a silver medalist at the 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championship and 2016 Olympian.
As for Maggie, she last played for Team Germany at the 2016 European Olympic Qualification tourney. Professionally, she spent the 2015-2016 season with Pomi Casalmaggiore where she and Francesca Piccinini led her team to win the prestigious CEV Champions League.
