This news caught us off guard.
Due to financial problems, CV Tenerife has decided to withdraw from the Spanish League this coming season.
In case you didn’t know, the team won the 2003/2004 edition of the CEV Champions League. It has also hired some of the world’s best players like Logan Tom, Magalys Carvajal, Neslihan Darnel, Maurizia Cacciatori and Elena Godina.
We’re still optimistic that Tenerife will find a way to solve its financial woes and hopefully rejoin the league soon.
We’re sad. =(
