Exclusive: Humble Words from Nellie Spicer

The moment we saw Berg’s Twitter post that she’d be going to Japan, we had a feeling Nellie Spicer will not make the team. We checked with Nellie and asked for her words after finding out she didn’t make the roster for the World Championship. In her own humble words, Nellie wants her family, friends and fans to know this:

“Of course I was disappointed that I did not make the travel roster, but at the same time, I realize that I am competing with extremely talented athletes, and that everyone deserves a chance. I am still very focused on being a member of the 2012 Olympic Team. This is a long process. I have 100% confidence that our coaches are making the best decisions for the team in our journey to winning a gold medal in London.

Now, I am directing my focus as I prepare for an exciting and successful career in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Thanks for all the support to all my fans. If you happen to be in Poland, come catch a match and say HELLO =)”

We admire her positive attitude and we are looking forward seeing her again on the National Team in the near future. Nellie will be playing in the Polish League for the 2010-2011 season. Good luck girlfriend!

As for now, Nellie has granted us an interview and it will come out in a few days. Stay Tuned Spicer Fans! <3
