We are not quite sure yet if we support his decision but we still respect it regardless.
Russian Opposite Hitter, Semen Poltavskiy, has decided to skip the 2011 World League and the 2011 Eurpean Champs because of a back injury.
Poltavskiy will not be getting any surgery to treat it and he prefers to just rest it for the year so that he could prepare for his 3rd Olympic appearance next year.
Sucks that we won’t be seeing him this year!
We are just wondering what if Russia will not qualify for the 2012 Olympics (which is very possible knowing Europe has a lot of strong teams)? What if he won’t recover by next year?
In our opinion his decision has more cons than pros but Semen knows what’s best for him and we wish him the best!
