First of all, Egypt and its people are in our thoughts & prayers. We pray and hope that their troubles will be resolved soon. More and more people are dying and violence is growing. Their economy is sinking too. Peace Over Violence and War BBs!

Back to our news…

Two volleyball club teams from Algeria, NC Bejaia and Algiers GSP, competed in the Arab Champions Club Cup and they are now stuck in Alexandria, Egypt. The players are are stuck in the city since Monday and they could not get to the airport in Cairo due to the ongoing political drama/ revolution.

Oh No!

The coaches have released these statements:

NC Bejaia coach says “We were asked to return to our hotel in Alexandria as the road linking it to Cairo is not secure following the events that the country knows.” while  coach Bejaoui of GPS shared that they remain in good conditionsbut still fearing some difficulties like they can’t get any money since the banks are closed.

The club tourney was scheduled from January 7th-February 7th.

We’re glad they’re ok for now and hope they will find a way to leave the country in case the unrest gets more serious.

Be safe!
