USA Volleyball Scrimmage

We’ve been told a lot of fans came to watch…

We heard it was a great night featuring USA Volleyball stars!

We’ve also been informed that some fans got sad when they received the program stating that videotaping the match was strictly prohibited. We actually have the video but we can’t share it to you guys. Hahaha! We kid! We kid! We don’t have the video but we got lots of pics for you.

Luckily, Mr. Mo took lots of pics and has given us permission to share them to you guys.

Barboza definitely has more pop. Everyone played except Nellie. Logan was Logan. She did a little of everything. Didn’t really notice her much towards the middle of the match on. If I had to pick a few players it would be Scott and Hodge. Scott can still play at a high level. She still blocks well and she had a few kills. I was really impressed with Hodges hitting when in system. She can really pound the ball when she gets her favorite set. She still needs to work on her passing and defense. The USA definitely has the personnel to win or medal in any tournament they play. The key with them will always be their serve and pass game. If they are consistent in those two areas, they can beat any team.

*Bown and Joines-Tamas were present but didn’t play.

Team USA is on a roll and we have a feeling they will win the 2011 FIVB World Cup if they remain consistent and play their hardest just like how they performed at the Grand Prix. Of course, Brazil is also the other favorite team to win. In case you didn’t know, USA and Brazil will play against each other on the opening day of the World Cup. How Fun!

The 20 player roster will be cut down to 14. Regardless of who will make it to Japan, Team USA is loaded with great and talented players.
