Libero Fabi

She deserves a break!

The Brazilian libero and 2 time Olympic gold medalist, Fabi, plans on taking a long break to relax and spend time with her loved ones. The last 10 months or so have been super hectic for the 33 year old. She was at the 2012 World Grand Prix, then 2012 London Olympics, played with Unilever in the 2012/2013 Brazilian League and she concluded the season at the 2013 South American Club Championship over the weekend.

Fabi is not getting any younger. Too much volleyball is bad for the body so she finally decides to go on vacation and also get away from Unilever’s Coach Bernardinho’s screaming. Hah!

Fabi shares…

“I woke up late, I needed to take a rest from Bernardinho’s voice (laughs), but I miss him. Unfortunately it is difficult to keep the team every season and this group was very good to work with. The truth is that we are happy and proud with everything we have achieved.

The season was very cool but also exhausting. I’ll try to get some rest, which is always difficult for an active person like me. The head rests, but not the body. The holidays, in fact, already begun in Lima. Now, I’m back, I’ll go to the beach and try to spend most of the time with my family. I will spend Mother’s Day with my mom. I also want to reconnect with my friends.”

Recharge those batteries girlfriend!

As far as we know, she will not play for the national team this season and Camila Brait will take her spot.
