2012 World League Finals In …

Happy! Yippee! Yehey!

Sofia, Bulgaria has been chosen by the FIVB to host the Final Round of the 2012 World League. The matches will be held in the newly constructed Sofia Arena which could accommodate 12,410 to 17,906 sports fans depending on its use.

The Arena will officially open on July 30th with a friendly match between Serbia and Bulgaria.

“We are extremely happy and proud with this decision of the FIVB, which, I assure you, is the product of enormous efforts and a lot of work of the entire leadership of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation,” said The President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Dancho Lazarov.

We are too Mr. President! We’re very happy too!

Hosting the Finals would give the Bulgarian team loads of valuable experience in preparation for the 2012 Olympics – which we hope the team will qualify – and would bring Bulgarian volleyball to the next level. Go Go Go!
