To celebrate this day, below is a list featuring some of Volleywood’s MOST POWERFUL AND MOST BEAUTIFUL VOLLEYBALL COUPLES! If we forgot someone or forgot a couple on this list, please comment below.
#1. Jaqueline and Murilo
This couple has been through a lot but their love for each other remains strong and gets stronger each day. One of their most publicized moments as husband and wife was when Jaque suffered a miscarriage in 2011. Two years later, the Brazilian couple welcomed their first child Paulo Arthur Carvalho Endres.
Jaque and Murilo tied the knot in 2009 and will be celebrating their 10th year anniversary as husband and wife this coming October.
Both athletes are Olympic medalists. Murilo is a 2 time silver medalists (2008,2012) while Jaque is two time Olympic champion (2008,2012). On social media, they are the most followed volleyball couple in the world. Jaqueline has more than 699,000 followers on Instagram while Murilo has 222,000+.
#2. Mitar Djuric and Martina Guiggi
He is one of the best volleyball players from Greece and she is one of Italy’s best middle blockers who has played at the 2008 and 2016 Olympics. Mitar and Martina got married last May 2018. The couple reportedly met in Italy where Mitar played professionally for several seasons.
Although they have not confirmed the news, we’ve been informed that they are EXPECTING THEIR FIRST CHILD!!!
The couple recently moved to France after playing in the Greek League. Mitar has been hired to play for French club team Poitiers.
#3. Georg Grozer & Helena Havelkova
The German scoring machine and the gorgeous Czech player started dating in late 2017. We’re not sure how they met but their IG posts show much they enjoy each other’s company. Both athletes are currently playing in the Russian League.
#4. Reinder Nummerdor & Manon Flier
Although they have already retired from volleyball, Reinder and Manon still deserve to be on this list. They’ve been a couple since 2005 and got married in 2012. Two years later, the Dutch couple welcomed their first child and named her Milou.
Reinder is the assistant coach of The Netherland’s beach volleyball team while Manon is enjoying a career outside volleyball.
#4. Giovanni Guidetti & Bahar Toksoy
One of the world’s best coaches Gio has been married to Turkish middle blocker Bahar Toksoy for almost 5 years now. They welcomed their first child in 2016. Their daughter Alison is one of the most adorable volleyball babies on social media.
Gio is the head coach of Turkey’s women’s national team and women’s club team Vakifbank while his wife plays for Fenerbahce – one of Vakifbank’s toughest rivals in the Turkish League.
#5. Anna Grejman and Bartosz Kurek
They are probably the world’s HOTTEST volleyball couple at the moment. Bartosz and Anna do a lot of things together as you can see on their IG accounts. When they officially came out as a couple a few year ago, Anna had to deal with a lot of bashers that forced her to keep her IG private.
Fast forward to today, they are happier more than ever!

#6. Srecko Lisinac & Estefana Veljkovic /p>
This volleyball couple who both play as middle blockers for the Serbian national teams just look great together! They’ve only been together for like a year but they are just SO IN LOVE!!! Check out their pics below!

#7. Aleksandar Atanasijevic & Elitsa Vasileva
One of the most beautiful couples indeed and we have a feeling they’d end up together forever. They’ve been together for over a year now and their posts on social media are always the sweetest!
#8. Anne Buijs & Carol
They are the bravest couple out there knowing that coming out as a same sex couple or gay couple may invite a lot of criticisms from close minded individuals but there’s NO STOPPING Anne and Carol from fighting for their love!
Anne and Carol met when the Dutch spiker played in the Brazilian League during the 2016 season. They both played for Rexona and won the Brazilian Superliga that season. Anne has visited Carol in Brazil a few times already.
We wanted to add Paola Egonu and Kasia Skorupa on this list but the couple have reportedly broken up. Regardless of their short lived romance, we wanted to thank them for showing to the rest of the world that love is for everyone. We wish them both the best!
