USA Setter Alisha Glass To Be A Mom

BABY NEWS!

2014 World Champion and 2016 Olympic BRONZE medalist, Alisha Glass, from Team USA and basketball player Josh Childress will welcome their first child this summer.

Last Saturday, Alisha’s teammates from the national team hosted a baby shower. Some of the attendees were Megan Hodge, Carli Lloyd, Chrisa Dietzen, Lauren Gibbemeyer, Lauren Paolini, Tama Miyashiro, Tori Dixon and Kelly Murphy.

In an article released record-eagle.com last August 2016, Alisha said that she wants to take a break and do normal things outside volleyball.

“I’m not going overseas anymore, and I’m putting everything on hold. I’m taking some time off, and I’m going to spend some time with my family when I can and my boyfriend, wherever he ends up, and just kind of do the normal life. I’ll see if that doesn’t pull me in a different direction.”

However, Karch Kiraly confirmed Alisha’s retirement in a recent interview released by Volleyball Magazine.

“I can’t predict that for sure, but we know that (setter) Alisha Glass is retired. She’s getting married and starting a family.”

All we can say is we are going to miss her on the volleyball court but at the same time we are happy with all that’s going on in her life.

Congrats and best wishes Alisha, Josh and baby-to-be!
