2014 USA Women’s National Team Open Tryouts

This is YOUR chance to be the next Foluke Akinradewo, Logan Tom, Jordan Larson or the new Stacy Sykora just to name a few.

Per USA Volleyball:

USA Volleyball is gearing up for the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Tryouts taking place Feb. 21-23 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Quick Details on Tryout:

Record numbers: 247 athletes from 107 colleges and universities are participating.

What’s at stake? Tryouts are for spots on U.S. Women’s National Team and/or U.S. Collegiate National Teams program (formerly U.S. Women’s Senior A2 Teams). Karch Kiraly: Three-time Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Olympic Hall of Famer Karch Kiraly and the U.S. Women’s National Team staff will lead the tryout process

Past success stories: Pepperdine’s Kim Hill took part in the 2013 tryout and was selected to train with the National Team. She went on to have a successful rookie season playing in 95 of a possible 118 sets against the top teams in the world. Other athletes were selected to take part in training sessions at the National Team Center in Anaheim last summer.

Next Steps: Selected athletes will be notified by early March. USA Volleyball will announce the selections by the end of March once all roster spots are accepted and confirmed.

Live Streaming: On Friday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. MT, we will begin live streaming the tryout for fans across the world to watch.

VIDEO SCHEDULE (All MT): Friday 2-8 p.m. | Saturday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Sunday 7:30 -10:30 a.m.
