The Queen of Azeri Volleyball is staying in Russia!
One of Europe’s scoring machines, Natalya Mammadova, is staying with Russian club team, Omichka, until the 2013/2014 season.
We wonder how much $$$ Omichka is paying her to stay knowing that Mamma gets a lot of offers from other club teams. Rumor has it her 1-season contract with the team is worth $500,000+.
Omichka has also renewed the contracts of the coaching staff, ie Zoran Terzic (Serbia’s coach) and Zeljko Bulatovic.
Omichka must be very pleased with these people since they decided to keep them. It’s pretty obvious that the team has long term plans as far as tasting success in the Russian League and other tourneys in Europe.

Side Dish: Mammadova and Team Omichka are currently competing in the Final 4 of the CEV Cup. In the Russian League, Omichka is currently ranked 6th after 14 matches (8 wins/ 6 losses).
