There’s no place like home…
One of Poland’s most popular female volleyball players has returned home to play for Chemik Police in the upcoming 2013/2014 season of the Polish League. In case you didn’t know, the 34 year old had a successful season with Vakifbank last year which includes winning the Turkish League and the prestigious Champions League.
The last time she played in the Polish League was during the 1998-1999 season before spreading her wings in the some of the world’s best leagues like in Italia & Turkey.
Chemik has also hired setters are Maja Ognjenovic from Serbia and Lucie Muhlsteinova from Czech Republic, Serbian opposite Ana Bjelica, Polish beauty Anna Werblinska, middle blockers Agnieszka Bednarek Kasza and Katarzyna Gajgal-Aniol.
Maggie will wear jersey #7.
We wish she didn’t retire from the National Team.
Her presence is still very valuable and her experience will definitely help as Poland rebuilds its women’s team.
