Club Refuses Georgi Bratoev’s Demands

UPDATE!

A source familiar on how people connected to the Bulgarian Federation defends Bratoev.

Per source:

C’mon, Volleywood, let’s get real!

What this article says is a pure nonsense. Bulgarian media many times like to twist the news in order to gain more audience. I don’t believe a word of this statement. There is a campaign against Bratoev at the moment and this is pretty obvious. BTW, the campaign is directed by BVF, but they are in the background. Do you know who is the owner of the volleyball club “Slavia”? Ivan Seferinov. The same guy, who forced Matey Kaziyski to sign a slavery contract in his teens. Everybody knows, that this contract in practice enslaved Matey and was against all legal norms etc. Bratoev is inconvenient. He is not afraid to say what he thinks. What is more, Levski holds the rights of Bratoev, but Vladimir Nikolov, being managing consultant of the team, informed Bratoev that they don’t need him. No wonder Andrey Zhekov decided to give up volleyball before the Olympics. He would have had the same destiny….. Can’t you, guys, see how the story is repeating over and over again. Just the names are changing.

When somebody is not convenient for BVF, they easily find a way to get rid of that person one way or the other – Dimitar Zlatanov, Hristo Zlatanov, Plamen Konstantinov, Radostin Stoychev, Matey Kazisky , Andrey Zhekov.

Now on the spot is Bratoev. Who will be next year or the year after? What a shame!

Knowing that our source has vast knowledge on Bulgarian Volleyball, this could be true.

Any thoughts?

What a HE-DIVA!

The Best Setter of the 2012 Olympics might be scrambling to find a new team after the club he (thought) would play for has rejected his demands.

Sportal.bg reports that Slavia is no longer interested in hiring Georgi Bratoev and will now look for a replacement. The team’s rep, Ivan Seferinov, has released this statement:

“Georgi Bratoev will not be a member of Slavia. He told us, if he doesn’t find a club abroad that will stay in Slavia. Mr. Bratoev also asked for a high salary and to allow him NOT TO TRAIN in the morning with the team”.

Not to train in the morning?

WOW! We can understand that Georgi can ask for a huge paycheck but the “no training in the morning” demand is just a little too much for a team to accommodate.

We wonder where he is going to play now. Maybe Turkey?
