The Azerbaijan League is becoming more and more competitive with the addition of more foreign players, mostly from the USA. The AZE League is the home of RABITA BAKU with the great Natalya Mammadova together with American Kim Glass. Baku is also competing in the Champions League.

Aside from Kim Glass, other American players in the league are: Nancy Metcalf, Kristin Richards, Tayyiba Haneef, Jen Joines-Tamas, Angie McGinnis, Ashley Engle, Cheryl Weaver & Nicole Davis. German setter Kathleen Weiss and Dutch outside hitter Alice Blom also play in this league.
