Mexico Wins U20 Pan Am Cup

Viva La Mexico!

Mexico was crowned champions of the U-20 Women’ U-20 Pan American Cup after defeating the Dominican Republic at Coliseo de Ciudad Deportiva in Havana on Saturday.

After finishing 4th in 2011, the Mexicans showed so much confidence and a much improved game throughout the tournament. They defeated defending champs Peru in 4 sets before facing the favorites from the Dominican Republic in the gold medal match.

Dominican Republic also won the silver medal 2 years ago in Callao, Peru.
