Libero Stijn Dejonckheere To Miss World Champs

This is just a very hard pill to swallow.

Belgian libero Stijn Dejonckheere who has been part of Belgium’s success within the last couple of years has announced that he will NOT be able to compete at the World Championship in Poland which starts next week due to a knee injury.

EXCLUSIVE!

The 26 year old tells Volleywood:

“There’s a problem in my left knee. In the friendly game against Serbia, I had to stop playing because there was too much pain. Probably a problem with the tendon. I’ll be out for about 3 months.”

His replacement will be Lowie Stuer.

Stijn is now looking forward to the upcoming club season where he will be competing with Knack Roeselare in the Belgian League and Champions League
