We were hoping the world’s #1 team would join the fun!
In case you didn’t know, the 2012 event was canceled due to a very busy volleyball calendar with the world’s best teams busy preparing for the London Olympics. The organizers promised that the 2013 edition would be as great as the previous editions and they didn’t disappoint the fans.
The tournament will be held in Montreux, Switzerland from May 28th – June 2nd and will welcome 2 time Olympic Champions Brazil. Coach Guimaraes’ squad will be in Pool A with China, Russia and host Switzerland. Pool B is composed of defending champions Japan, Italy, Germany and the Dominican Republic.
The format will be teams will play each other once before the top two sides progress to the semi-finals and final.
