Coach Anastasi Replaces Zibi Bartman

September 4th, 2013

Coach Andrea to the rescue!

Rumors are starting to spread like wildfire that Zibi was axed from the Polish team because of his bad behavior which led to conflict between him and his teammates. To defend his fallen angel, Coach Andrea Anastasi has decided to reveal the reason why Bartman is no longer with the team.

“Bartman is not in form, did not play well and I have not seen any improvement.

This is the right and the only explanation, not some theories and speculations about the conflicts in the team. Zbigniew is a smart guy, we get along well. I admit that it was difficult to tell him the news that he won’t go to the European Championship.

At some point, however, I told him frankly: Zibi, I cannot help you in any way. I tried to do it the whole season, but I am no longer able to. So I looked for alternatives and decided to try a new player, Grzegorz Bociek.

I could not do as it was done in Rzeszow, where for some time Bartman was coming in from the bench and then played well in the last stage of the season. I do not have time for similar experiment.”

There you go folks!

Let’s stop speculating that Zibi has a bad attitude. Like what Coach AA said, it’s all because Zibi is not in great shape to play for Poland. He was given a few chances but failed to meet the coach’s expectations.

While some might be disappointed with Andrea’s decision, let’s respect it and give Bociek a shot to help the Polish team.

Any Thoughts?

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

We are shocked with this news!

Coach Andrea Anastasi has released his roster for the upcoming Hubert Wagner Invitational Tournament and sadly the famous Zbigniew Bartman is NOT on the list.

Oh My G!

Zibi has quickly responded to press inquiries and said that he respects Coach Anastasi’s decision. According to a source, the 2012 World League Champion is not in the best shape and Coach Anastasi is doing what’s best for his squad.

“Let’s face it, Bartman is not in the best shape and getting cut from the team for the Wagner Tourney should is not a surprise. Coach Andrea had a talk with Zibi and told him that he will be replaced and he will be EXCLUDED from the roster for the European Champs which starts in about 2 weeks. Of course he is sad. It’s heartbreaking for him but he is not dwelling in this situation. As a matter of fact, he is ready to start practicing with his Italian club team Modena in a matter of days.”

The source also adds that all is well between Zibi and Anastasi.

“They remain in good terms & handling this matter in the most professional way. No bitterness between the 2. Getting cut from the team is NORMAL and it’s part of being an athlete. On the other hand, fans are hoping to see him at next year’s World Championship knowing that Poland will be hosting the tourney.”

Zibi has been replaced by Grzegorz Bociek who plays for Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
