The following 12 players will represent Bulgaria at the 2012 London Olympics:
Setters: Georgi Bratoev, Dobromir Dimitrov
Outside Hitters: Todor Alexiev, Nikolay Penchev, Valentin Bratoev, Todor Skrimov
Opposite Hitters: Tsvetan Sokolov, Vladimir Nikolov(captain)
Middle Blockers: Nikolay Nikolov, Teodor Todorov, Victor Yosifov
Libero: Teodor Salparov
We’re not quite familiar with most of these players. The notable ones are veterans Vladimir Nikolov and Salparov together up and coming star Tsvetan Sokolov.
Bulgaria is in Pool A together with Italy, Poland, Argentina, Australia and host Great Britain.
With all the controversies and all the drama surrounding the team, we wish Bulgaria the best in London!
