All we can say is that we’re so happy Cynthia Barboza is back!

Volleyball wise, it’s going to be a star studded affair with Brazil sending it’s A Team as they will try to win the gold they failed to win when they hosted the quadrennial event in 2007.

As for Team USa, the women’s is a young squad but has a lot of solid players like C-Barb, Alix Klineman, Cassidy Lichtman, Keao Burdine and Carli Lloyd. On the other hand, the men’s team will be led by opposite hitter Evan Patak.

We think Team USA would do well, especially the women’s team, but knowing Brazil is sending their A Teams then they it’s going to be tough for the Americans to win the gold.  Anything is possible! Anything can happen! Brazil lost to Cuba in the2007  women’s gold medal final which brought Fofao to tears. Remember?

We wonder who would be the starting opposite for the women’s team. We hope Cassidy gets to start since she is definitely a great all around player.

Go USA!
