After more than a decade with Brazil, Luiz Felipe Fonteles announces retirement.
The outside hitter had a very successful career with Brazil. With the national team, Lipe won a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics and 2 silver medals at the World Championship (2014, 2018). Outside these 2 prestigious tournaments, the 34 year old has 3 silver medals from the FIVB World League (2014,2015,2016).
In this video below released by the Brazilian Federation, Lipe is happy with the silver medal they won at the recently concluded World Championship. He also wishes the current team and the next generation of Brazilian players the best.
Lipe will still continue his professional career in Brazil with Sesi-SP.
