Brazilian Middle Blocker Sidao Is Now Recovering

After winning silver at the 2014 World Championship with Brazil, Sidao took some time off to treat his shoulder.

Sadly, the physiotherapy sessions FAILED so he opted to have surgery which was successfully done last week.

His road to full recovery may take about 4 – 6 months and he is very optimistic to rejoin the team just in time for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Per Sidao:

“Guys, thank you for strength messages and care. Thank God the surgery was great. Now I just need to patient to recover and try to return to my best. Tomorrow (Wednesday) I’ll be at home.”

What’s next for Sidao?

His upcoming wedding with Brazilian setter and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Dani Lins.
