Inspiring Words From Olympian Rachael Adams

USA Volleyball announced yesterday that 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, Rachael Adams, is the Most Improved Player Of 2016 while Jordan Larson was named as the Female Indoor Player Of The Year for the second consecutive season.

Rachael, who is currently playing professionally in Turkey, then shared some wise and inspiring words on her IG.

Honored to have received this award along side my teammate @gov1007 and her POY award! 💪🏾🇺🇸 Young girls always ask me "how can I improve" "how can I get like you guys?". One day at a time. Little steps. Have a vision and trust your vision and trust the journey that you have to take to get you there. Come into practice everyday with goals and a focus. Work on your weaknesses at practice, not just your strengths. Working on things you're confident in and already good at is easy. Attacking your weakness and things you don't think you're good at is hard, frustrating, takes patience, and can be uncomfortable but like our @usavwnt coaching staff says, "you have to be comfortable being uncomfortable". Enjoy and embrace the learning process. Ask yourself, "how can I improve today?". ☝🏾Anddd don't forget to stay patient with yourself. Thankful to have been surrounded by teammates and coaches in my career that have pushed me, and still push me, to be a better player. ❤️ #usavolleyball // Read @usavolleyball article here: https://t.co/XhOn7uUot7
