Zbigniew Bartman’s Injury

July 7th UPDATE: Bartman’s diagnosis is Medial Gastrocnemius Strain & needs 6 weeks to recover. He is officially out of the World League.

***

It looks like we won’t be seeing Bartman anymore in the Final Round of the World League.

All together now: That Sucks!

BB hurt himself in the 5th set against Bulgaria. Italian commentators said that it could be his Achilles Heel (which we hope not) while post diagnosis says Zbigniew tore his muscle calf – a minor injury which needs 3-4 weeks of recovery.

Ayayi!

Bartman’s absence is a huge blow to Poland’s chances of making it to the Semifinal Round. He is the team’s transitional player and can score a string of points. He’s also the most intense out of them all. Bartman’s replacement according to Coach Anastasi will be veteran Piotr Gruszka. Both players haven’t had enough playtime in the World League.

We just have to wait and see the changes Coach Anastasi will make.

Above all, we wish Zbigniew a quick recovery. We really hope it’s nothing serious and there’s enough time to recover and play against Italy and Argentina in the next 2 days.

We’re so sad that we can’t watch this video…

Thoughts?
