Serbian opposite hitter Tijana Boskovic was a no show during the bronze medal match and during the awarding ceremony of the FIVB Club World Championship last Sunday due to a loss in her family. Her uncle passed away and Tijana decided it’s best for her not to play.
A vero emotional Boskovic was seen seen on the sideline watching her club team, Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul, win the bronze medal. When her name was announced as the Best Opposite Hitter of the tournament, team captain Jordan Larson accepted the award on her behalf.
Boskovic is reportedly going home to be with her family.
