After announcing her retirement in January of this year, one of the world’s best players our generation has ever seen is BACK!
The 40 year old Sokolova is playing again for Russian club team, Dinamo Krasnodar, and she made her official return to the court in their CEV Cup match a couple of days ago against Austria’s UVC Holding GRAZ.
Lyuba did not score any point in their 5 set match victory but she contributed with 4 excellent receptions and 50% efficiency.
As of press time, we’re not sure if the two time world champion is committed until the season ends next year or she’s only playing for a short period of time.
Regardless, we’re very H A P P Y she’s back.
