2012 Olympic Champion and one of the world’s biggest Volleywood superstars, Maxim Mikhailov, wants punishment for BAD REFEREES.
After winning their Champions League Playoff Match versus Turkish club team Halkbank Ankara, the 26 year old tells rsport.ru:
“We have to make some changes in volleyball refereeing system.
If the referee makes a lot of mistakes, he should be punished. Then, they will have some fear and will reduce mistakes!
I’m not talking only about the last match but a lot of previous games.
We need to change this system.”
Referees who constantly make questionable calls can ruin someone’s game and a team’s chances of winning important matches.
