Kurek is finally home.
The Polish outside hitter who spent 2 seasons in the Italian League with Lube is finally heading back to Poland starting next season and will play for Asseco Resovia.
Source tells Volleywood:
“Kurek’s contract with Lube was terminated mutually. He didn’t have a great 2014/2015 season. The fact that he is a very expensive player, Lube can’t keep him anymore for the next season.
Both parties are happy with the decision.
On the other hand, Polish fans are thrilled to have their almost-forgotten superstar back home.”
In case you didn’t know, Kurek’s name also appears on Poland’s roster for the 2015 season. After missing the World Championship, it looks like Kurek is on track to regain his status in the volleyball world.
He may now play as an opposite hitter with tha National Team.
