Amaury Lepetit Update

October 5th UPDATE: First look at Amaury after his amputation. Glad to see he’s in great spirits after the surgery. His club team said that there’s always room for him on the team. “Amaury is part of the family of Paris Volley.” says coach Dorian Rougeyron. Lepetit responds saying that “It’s very touching and it’s nice. I should get my prosthesis soon and then I can walk.”

July 24th UPDATE: We have obtained more info from a very reliable source on how Amaury hurt himself.

He fell from an underground platform onto the tracks, suffering from an open fracture and sectioning an artery in the leg. His life was probably saved when a friend present at the time who stopped the blood flow.

This news breaks our hearts!

The 24 year old French player was involved in a very serious public transport accident a couple of weeks ago in Paris. Due to the injuries he sustained, Amaury Lepetit underwent a below the knee amputation.

Other details of his condition were not disclosed.

Amaury played in the B division of the French League winning 2 crowns in 2007 and 2008 with Paris Volley. He last played for Plessis-Robinson Volleyball.

We’re extremely sad with what happened to him & we wish Amaury to recover in time.
