Over the weekend, their women’s beach volleyball teams qualified for the Zone Six Olympic qualifiers to be held in Namibia later this month after finishing second during the regional qualifiers held in Maputo, Mozambique. This is the first time a team from Zimbabwe participated and luckily qualified!

Congratulations to Nomatter Mbiza, Viola Muchaoona, Yeukai Mukurumbira, Nyasha Gwenzi and Vuyiswa Dhlomo!

Chris Chivinge, Competitions Director of Zimbabwe Volleyball Association, said that qualifying to go to the next round for the first time is a good result. Their nation is proud of their success! “We have to work harder to ensure that they advance to the next level.
