Verona Ends Trentino’s Run

After 21 consecutive victories in the Italian League, Trentino’s historical run finally came to an end after losing to Marmi Lanza Verona in 4 sets. ((24-26, 20-25, 25-20, 17-25).


Matey Kaziyski, Os Juantorena, Jan Stokr and their Trentino teammates have made history as one of the most successful club teams in the history of the Italian League. The 2009 and 2010 Club World Champions have been playing great volleyball since the season started and Trentino still remains as the top favorite to win the Champions League which they will host in a few weeks.

Trentino is looking to defend the Champions League crown for the 3rd time in a row.

On the other hand, the 7th ranked Verona could be the dark horse this season and the team has what it takes to turn things around & surprise us all. We hope their amazing victory against Trentino will push them to play harder and win the important matches as the season is about to end.

We really like their yellow knee pads!
