UPDATE: The club committee has stated that they had to dismiss Rodrigao because of his ethics on and off the court. He was very demanding and caused a lot of internal problems. Dang! Rodrigao was acting like a DIVA? Sad.

They are FREE in a very terrible way!
Their club team, Sky Pinheiros, terminated both of their contracts out of the blue and so Rodrigao and Marcelinho are currently unemployed. Really? That Sucks! What a great Christmas present!

According to the coach, their services were no longer needed since they weren’t playing GREAT to help the team attain and accomplish the goals he has set for this season.
Rodrigao and Marcelinho are extremely disappointed and disgusted on their team’s decision.

The SAD thing is the deadline to transfer players to other clubs has ended after they got dropped so at this point it is quite impossible for them to play for other teams nor look for a new team abroad. The only way for these 2 players to be able to play is if all the coaches from all the Superliga Teams would APPROVE their transfers.
Marcelinho was the starting setter in the 2008 Olympics and led Brazil to a Silver medal while Rodrigao is one of the best middles in the world with 3 World Titles, 1 Gold and 1 Silver from the Olympics and several World League Titles.

This is terrible! We wish both players to settle this issue with their former club team and move on. Rodrigao and Marcelinho are great players!
Side Dish: Coach Rezende feels sad for both players and has declined to further comment on the issue. Good idea!
