BREAKING NEWS: Coach HUGH to Poland?

Attention: We read this Polish Article using Google Translate so we might have misunderstood the article the way it was translated.

The Polish website, SE.PL, has posted on it’s Sports section that Coach Hugh McCutcheon has been offered to coach the Polish men’s national team! Wow WoW WoW Wee!

After Argentinian coach, Daniel Castellani, was let go by the Polish Federation, the search for the new coach hasn’t been easy. They had a few candidates, Canada’s men’s coach and another Italian coach from Italy, but now report says that they are courting one of THE GREATEST COACHes OF THIS DECADE from New Zealand.

As we all know, Coach led the USA Men’s Team to WIN the GOLD in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In 2009, Coach Hugh took over the USA Women’s Team after China’s Lang Ping resigned to move back to China. In his second season, Logan Tom and Team won the 2010 Grand Prix under McCutcheon.

And regarding the Polish offer, this is what Hugh said:

“I am open to the conversation. If your relationship is like with me to discuss this, please, let them do it. At this point I do not want to say any more.”

If Coach decides to take this offer then he will terminate his contract with USA Volleyball to end in 2012 (London Olympics).

Wherever he goes, we’re confident Hugh will make the wisest and the best decision.

Side Dish: We though the Polish Federation will no longer hire a foreign coach?
