They did it again for the 7th time in a row!
Kurek, Antiga, Falasca and Team Belchatow defeated ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle to win the 2010/2011 edition of the Polish League – one of the most prestigious leagues in the world.
After losing the first match in the Final Round, Kurek and company never looked back and displayed domination in the 2nd and 3rd matches.
Match #1: Skra Bełchatów – ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 2:3 (25:23, 22:25, 25:21, 19:25, 12:15)
Match #2: PGE Skra Bełchatów – ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3:1 (25:14, 25:17, 18:25, 29:27)
Match #3: ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle – PGE Skra Bełchatów 1:3 (22:25, 21:25, 25:21, 22:25)
Aside from making history, this victory has granted Belchatow a spot in the 2011/2012 edition of the Champions League & to compete in the 2011 World Club Championship to be held in Qatar.
If you remember, Poland’s #1 club team failed to to make it to the Final Four of the Champions League this season after losing to Reid Priddy, Lloy Ball and Team Zenit Kazan. Kurek and his teammates won the silver medal at the 2010 World Club Championship after losing to Italy’s Trentino Volley.
Anyways, we would like to congratulate Skra Belchatow for the victory & for dominating the Polish League!

For sure the team had a big party and we’re a little sad we didn’t get invited. LOL! On a serious note, we’d like to add that their supremacy makes the Polish League very predictable.
