We thought she would play one more Olympics after Sydney but she just retired after the 2002 World Champs. We heard she even planned to come back but then suffered a miscarriage which eventually led to her retirement. We thought we won’t see her anymore but the Best Player of the Century is now the acting Assistant Coach of Cuba’s Women’s Team. We miss her powerful presence on the court. We’ll always think of her…
