The former star setter of the Italian National Team is now a proud MAMA!
Maurizia Cacciatori gave birth via C-section last February 20th to a very healthy baby boy & named him CARLOS (3.7 KG & 54 CM).
How Cute!
Of course, the proud daddy, Francesco Orsini (a former pro basketball player), was on her side to welcome their little angel in Pisa, Italy.
Why Carlos?
According to the Papa, he and Mauri decided on the name while they were in Spain back in 2007. We also learned that the new mom felt like she was pregnant for ninety nine months and was quite impatient to see the baby. Well patience is a virtue girlfriend! You can now hold your precious gift in your arms and enjoy motherhood.
We don’t have a pic yet of the newborn but we found these images before Cacciatori gave birth.

The Best Setter at the 1998 World Championship remains active in the Italian volleyball circuit. She works as a sports commentator after she retired from the sport in the early 2000s.
